Why did you choose the Statkraft International Trainee Programme?
I’m an electrical power engineer with a dual degree from KTH in Stockholm and UPC in Barcelona. I was looking for an opportunity to try out different roles and work in different locations.
I was also attracted to join the Future Board to influence Statkraft's top management and finally, I wanted to connect with other trainees from different business areas to build a social and professional network.
Did you find what you were looking for?
是的! I started in Electro-Tech in Oslo and worked with Operation and Maintenance of high voltage assets and innovation projects, 主要用于水力发电. In my second rotation I went to 巴西 where I had a similar 工程 role but with more financial analysis and focused on wind turbines and converter technology. For my last rotation I’m going to 秘鲁 to support the technical team there.
To work in the Future Board fulfills my dream of combining a technical 工程 job and strategic leadership. I’ve acquired a lot of technical knowledge and I’ve built a very good network – and I’m developing my communication and teamworking skills every day. My colleagues and the other trainees are a fantastic bunch! The value at Statkraft that truly resonates with me is “We grow together”!
Who would you recommend this program to?
Students who have a lot of initiative, 很好奇, self-driven and open-minded will benefit the most from this program. If you’re eager to step out of your comfort zone and meet new people, you’ll love this program. If you also want to drive change and get an insight in leadership and management, you should also apply to join the Future Board.
